No-Sew Dog Shirt

Bubba is wearing his new sweatshirt.  Since it has been cold here the last week, well, as cold as Phoenix gets, I decided Bubba needed a shirt to wear to bed so he won't shiver. 

This shirt was made with just scissors, no sewing needed.  It is made from the sleeve of an old sweatshirt!  I just cut the sleeve off and cut two slits for leg holes and Voila! a new shirt for Bubba.  The arm cuff of the shirt makes a cute turtleneck.  He looks like he's wearing a cut off sweatshirt from the 60's, ha. 

Okay, it's pink but it's going to be pajamas so who's going to see?  I'm going to make him another one out of a gray sweatshirt and cut the underneath curved so he can go to the bathroom.  Wouldn't have to do that if he were a girl.  :)

Will Bubba ever learn to bark?

Yesterday I put Bubba on the bed while I was sitting there putting on my shoes. Then I got up and spent about an hour on the computer among other things. Later I just happened to walk in the bedroom for something and there stood Bubba waiting patiently to be lifted down off the bed, lol.

If he would learn to bark he could have let us know he was forgotten and stuck. He's seven months old now and we've only heard what we think was a bark maybe three or four times and that was when he was playing and I don't think he really knew he did it, ha. He sure isn't living up to his chihuahua heritage. I guess I should be happy because when and if he does learn to bark I'll probably be coming here for advice on how to shut him up.

Weigh In

Bubba now weighs 2 pounds 15 ounces. One more ounce and he'll be 3 pounds! The vet wants to wait two more months before he gets neutered and gets his teeth fixed. In the mean time he's still our wild child. I think he has ADHD, ha. He's now discovered chasing birds is big fun. I just hope he never catches one.

Bubba On Board

LaVonne gave Marv this bear for his birthday. Isn't it perfect? It's a suction cup bear to put in a car window. We need to get Bubba a car seat so he can see out the window when he's in the van. Then he will really be Bubba on board.

Bubba turned six months old today

Our little boy is growing up. He turned six months old today. He went for a walk and then had pizza and cake to celebrate. Later he tore a magazine apart. I guess he doesn't like to read, lol.

Bubba got a bath

Bubba (and me) got a bath tonight. He's so small I washed him in the kitchen sink again but it didn't go as well as last time. I knew it was going to be a challenge when I was busy testing the water and realized he had escaped and was walking down the kitchen counter, lol. He fits under the faucet but he wiggled and squirmed so much Marv had to come and help. His legs were flying everywhere, ha. But now he is clean and Marv brushed him so he's all fluffy. Smells better, too.

Bubba got his license

No, not his driver's license but it looks like it. He got his registration card from the Kennel Club. It's lamenated with his picture. Pretty cool. Now we can always prove Bubba is our little baby.

Bubba Loves His Daddy

Bubba and Daddy are relaxing after a big Thanksgiving meal at LaVonne's house. This is Bubba's favorite place to sit. Makes it kind of hard for Daddy to eat when Bubba keeps trying to sneak bites, lol.

When we first got Bubba he was pure white with tan around his ears. In the last two months he's developed tan patches.

How to go up and down his doggy stairs.

What Bubba does not know:

How NOT to do his business in the house.

How to signal to go outside.

HELP! Does anyone know a quick surefire way to housebreak a tiny chihuahua???
